I did not dress up on Halloween. I did on the Saturday before, but not on the actual day. My friend Will, who is also an Illustration major, however, put everyone to shame with his Halloween spirit and that is what I would like to celebrate in this post.
Will started his Halloween costume over the summer. He began showing us plans to re-create the goblin-knight from Labyrinth. Construction involved foam rubber scavenged from and old car seat, paper mache, and even PVC pipe sliced and woven together into chain mail a la Lord of the Rings. The final product was quite amazing. The pictures don't quite do it justice, you need to see how it moves, but here's a glimpse (and in the back you can see a bit of the illustration studio, if you were curious...).
On Halloween he came to school in this contraption and paraded around campus, completely in character. We all follwed him like attendents at Disneyland while everyone we passed whipped out their cell phones to snap a photo of the awesome-ness. It was extremely entertaining. And since Will does not have a blog of his own I figured I would put give him a shout-out on my own.
Will... I salute you.

The butt cheeks were the best part.
Yes, I still stand by that!
I join in the salute and would like to state that I found the buttcheeks less upsetting than Hilary's obsession with them.
